i had been photographing 'local-scapes' for one of the Fujimugs.com photo challenges, when I tripped across this one tree about to be swallowed up by the light. i hit the brakes hard, grabbed my s602 and -- while trying not to be of any harm to myself or anyone else as i ran across the four lane street i had to cross to get this shot -- took a few frames and ended up with this photograph, which ended up as an 8th place finish in the Fujimugs.com 'Local'-scapes challenge Though it looks like it is out in the wilderness somewhere, this location is actually on the high school grounds in my neighborhood (the main part of the campus is right behind the tree on the other side of the hill!). |
